Vasyl Zahorodniuk fully exits UEX: Steps away from both the holding and the exchange

Vasyl Zahorodniuk, an investor and formerly the founder and Chief Investment Officer of UEX Capital Holdings, has announced his complete exit from the entire UEX ecosystem.

He is stepping away both from the holding company itself and from its flagship portfolio asset, the regulated cryptocurrency exchange UEX.US. He now has no relationship with either the holding or the exchange. The timing is notable: the move comes as UEX.US is posting the strongest performance in its history.

The Road The Project has Travelled

UEX.US was built around a combination rarely seen in crypto: FinCEN registration as an MSB, a Wyoming charter, and a full-reserve model — a bet on trust and transparency rather than growth at any cost. The team’s positioning line has always been simple: “Built in the USA. For the whole world.”

Over recent periods, the platform steadily expanded its capabilities — from fast swaps on Simple Exchange to full order-book trading on Trading Pro, from the Savings Rewards program and lending products to its own Trader Index and the $UEXC and $UEX tokens. Each new module didn’t replace the last one, it extended the ecosystem — and insiders say that’s exactly what’s driving the acceleration the exchange is showing today.

It’s against this backdrop that Zahorodniuk decided to step away entirely. He had long emphasized that UEX.US operates as an independent unit with its own management, with his role limited to strategy and capital allocation at the holding level. Now even that last link is gone: Zahorodniuk is exiting the holding as well, leaving the entire ecosystem — the exchange and the investment structure above it — in the hands of the teams that have run it from the inside all along.

“Numbers we haven’t seen at any point in the project’s history”

That team is led by Viktor Izhevskiy, CEO of UEX.US. In his view, this transition isn’t a pause or a restructuring — it’s the point of maximum momentum.

“We’re seeing numbers we haven’t seen at any point in the project’s history,” Izhevskiy says. “That’s true across user activity, trading dynamics, and how quickly the product is landing in new markets. What was built into this from day one — transparency, regulatory standing, discipline around reserves — is turning into a real competitive edge right now. That’s exactly why Vasyl stepping off the operational horizon isn’t a loss of momentum. It’s confirmation that the system was built to keep growing on its own.”

Izhevskiy adds that the full exit — from both the exchange and the holding — was planned well in advance and came as no surprise to the team: “We walked into this deliberately. The project has its own team, its own processes, and its own view of where to go next — and this is the right moment to prove that in practice.”

What’s Next

The UEX.US team says its plans going forward are ambitious. That means further expanding the product lineup, deepening existing lines — from Trading Pro to lending and savings programs — and pushing into new markets beyond the US. The full-reserve principle and regulated status remain the fixed foundation the strategy is built on. Management of both the holding and the exchange now passes entirely to their own respective teams.

For Zahorodniuk himself, leaving UEX opens space for other initiatives: he continues to build out Quanta Tech Systems in cybersecurity and digital infrastructure — with no remaining ties to UEX Capital Holdings or UEX.US. For the UEX ecosystem, his departure reads less like a break and more like a sign of maturity: a project that started under one founder has grown enough to move forward entirely on its own.
