Peter Schiff Revealed What Could Kill Bitcoin

Peter Schiff, the longtime Bitcoin skeptic and gold proponent, has once again taken aim at the world’s leading cryptocurrency.

In a recent statement, Schiff declared, “Bitcoin was born out of the financial crisis of 2008. Ironically, the financial crisis of 2025 will kill it.

Schiff’s comment comes amid renewed economic instability, with global markets rattled by banking failures, inflationary pressures, and investor uncertainty. While Bitcoin was originally envisioned as a decentralized hedge against exactly these kinds of systemic risks, Schiff argues that it has failed to deliver.

This isn’t the first time Schiff has predicted BTC’s downfall. Over the years, he’s made numerous bearish calls:

  • In 2013, he said Bitcoin was “a bubble waiting to burst”
  • In 2017, during BTC rise, he claimed it was “fool’s gold”
  • In 2020, amid pandemic-driven market chaos, he tweeted, “Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme”

Despite being repeatedly proven wrong by Bitcoin’s resilience and record-breaking rallies, Schiff remains unmoved. Now, with economic storm clouds gathering again in 2025, he sees Bitcoin not as a safe haven, but as a soon-to-be casualty.

Whether this latest prediction proves more accurate than his past ones remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: Schiff is still not buying the dip.
