Startale Group has launched its virtual Startale Card, allowing eligible users to spend USDSC at more than 150 million merchant locations worldwide through the Startale App, as the blockchain infrastructure company expands into everyday digital asset payments.
The launch follows more than 300,000 waitlist reservations since July, with the card initially available to eligible early contributors. Startale plans to gradually extend access to other waitlisted users throughout November.
The new payment card connects users’ onchain assets with traditional retail transactions, enabling them to move USDSC onto their card and make purchases without first withdrawing funds through a cryptocurrency exchange or transferring them to a conventional bank account.
Startale Card is issued by Rain, a Visa principal member specializing in stablecoin-powered payment infrastructure. The partnership enables the virtual card to operate across a global merchant acceptance network, connecting blockchain-based assets with existing payment systems.
Users can activate the card through the Startale App after completing the required know-your-customer verification process. The card also offers cashback in USDSC, credited directly to users’ accounts.
“We believe the next generation of financial superapps will bring saving, earning and spending into one seamless experience,” said Sota Watanabe, CEO of Startale Group. He added that the company’s goal is to allow users to manage and spend their digital assets within the same application.
The launch extends the Startale App’s existing financial services, which include digital asset management, token swaps, earning opportunities and USDSC balances. However, the card operates as a separate product from the platform’s yield and other financial services, each of which is governed by its own terms and conditions.
Beyond its consumer-facing products, Startale is involved in several blockchain infrastructure initiatives, including the development of Soneium alongside Sony Group and Strium, a tokenized securities trading platform being developed through SBI Holdings.
The company is also developing stablecoin infrastructure through USDSC and JPYSC, reflecting its broader push to connect blockchain-based financial products with mainstream financial activity.
With the phased rollout underway, Startale is positioning its new card as another step toward making digital assets usable for everyday purchases rather than limiting their utility to trading and onchain transactions.
