What if you could get a part of a $5 million airdrop without spending more than a few bucks? Sounds too good to be true, right? It’s not.
Lisk recently announced an airdrop of more than 15 million $LSK, which is around $15 million USD at the time of writing.
According to marketcapof.com, Lisk Network is currently valued at $164 million USD. It’s also the first Layer 1 network to migrate to an Ethereum Layer 2 solution. Lisk is part of the OP Superchain alongside Base, Zora, Mode, Cyber, and many others.
What Exactly is the Lisk Airdrop?
The Lisk airdrop is an opportunity to participate in the Lisk L2 network launch, by exploring the ecosystem and being active early on it. Basically, you’re rewarded for testing the platform and the ecosystem of dApps selected by the Lisk network for its launch. Depending on your contribution compared to other users, you will be rewarded with $LSK tokens when the airdrop period ends.
We don’t know exactly how much of the 15M tokens will be available at launch, but the prize pool should be substantial enough to attract users to the Lisk ecosystem. Also, a small hint suggests the reward in the first part of the airdrop it’s going to be quite good.
There are over 20,000 people participating so far, but with such a large reward pool, there is enough room for everyone.
About Lisk Network
Lisk Network is one of the oldest projects in the crypto space. They launched in 2016 and were one of the most known Layer 1 networks for a few years. However, as the space evolved, Lisk Network struggled to maintain its user base.
In 2024, Lisk decided to focus on building a top layer 2 network, part of the Superchain. By leveraging the OP Stack, Lisk wants to provide a seamless environment for developers to build decentralized applications (dApps) using familiar tools and languages, particularly JavaScript.
The new Lisk Network has a fee of under 1 cent, making it one of the lowest among the Superchain for now.
Some Details about $LSK Airdrop
Lisk announced that they will be airdropping 15M $LSK tokens to airdrop participants. However, the 15 million tokens will be distributed over multiple airdrops, not just the first one.
We believe that even a 3-5M $LSK airdrop would be enough to fuel interest for airdrop hunters. As interest right now is not quite high, we might expect a big airdrop from $LSK to attract more users and create different contests to build a thriving ecosystem.
To get the most out of the airdrop, you’d need between $300 and $400. The rewards can be 2-3 times bigger than the risk, at least. This is just the recommended amount; you can even try with a smaller amount, like $50 or lower. It’s close to zero-cost airdrop, and the rewards you might get might be worth your time.
Lisk Airdrop Tutorial – Step-by-Step Tutorial to Earn $LSK
Step 1: Creating a non-custodial wallet
The first thing you need to do is to make sure you have a non-custodial wallet (Such as Metamask or Rabby wallet) with around $50 to $400 in ETH on any layer 2 networks, such as Optimism, Base, Arbitrum or any other one with low bridge fees.
Step 2: Connecting your wallet to the airdrop page
The next step is to enter the official lisk airdrop page and connect your wallet. Your wallet may add the Lisk RPC if it’s your first time visiting the Lisk Network. If you want to find the best Lisk RPC for your wallet, you can use Chainlist.org.
You will be asked for a code to increase your rewards – you can use DGRq1B for that.
Once you connect your wallet, you will see the tasks for the official Lisk airdrop. The tasks may change weekly or bi-weekly – so make sure to check them regularly to see what needs to be done.
Step 3: It’s time to bridge to Lisk Network – which you can do by using Across.to or Orbiter.finance. We’ll pick Across now to explain how to bridge:
Now, on the ‘From’ part – you need to pick the network where you have your ETH on. We recommend using Optimism as this is one of the cheapest networks possible.
On the ‘To’ – We will select Lisk network, such as in the print screen below:
Oh yea, we’re also getting some OP rewards by using Across. Now simply input how much ETH you want to bridge to Lisk, and press ‘Confirm transaction’
In less than 1 minute, the funds will be available to use on Lisk
Please don’t forget to use the code DGRq1B on the Lisk airdrop page.
Step 4: Lisk airdrop tasks
We’ll go back to the Airdrop page, where we’ll see the tasks needed to be done
Most tasks involve being active on the Lisk network, such as completing the Transactions quest, which requires daily, weekly, and consecutive 30-day transactions.
The best strategy here as you start is to swap on oku.trade or Velodrome.finance from ETH to WETH and then from WETH to LSK, USDC and USDT. Around $5 to $10 of each would do so you can finish the other part of the quest.
This will help you finish the following quests:
- Balance quests: Where you need to hold ETH, USDT, USDC and LSK;
- Perform a swap on Oku trade;
- Daily transaction quest.
And you’ll also have some USDT, USDC, WETH and LSK ready so you can finish the:
- Supply & Borrow on Ionic;
- Add LP on Oku trade quest.
Step 5: Add LP on Oku.trade + Supply & Borrow on Ionic quest
These are pretty much self-explanatory – but if you’re a beginner, we’ve got you covered. First, head to ‘Position Maker’ on Oku.trade and select the LSK/WETH (or any other that you feel comfortable with), or click here. Then, select the 1% range as in the print screen below.
Now, you’ll need to select how much LSK and WETH you want to add to the Liquidity pool. Input an amount you’re happy with and press ‘Deploy position’ as in the print screen below.
Note: You’ll be asked to approve both WETH and LSK and deploying, so you must confirm 3 transactions.
There we go, the LP quest is also done. Now let’s go to the Ionic quest.
Head out to Ionic Money platform. The link should lead you to the Lisk network already – but if not, select the Lisk network from the markets page. Now, select the market that you want to use. For this example, we’ll use USDC.
Select the amount of USDC that you want to supply by using the slider and press ‘Supply USDC’ . Again, you’ll have to approve and then supply, so there will be 2 transactions.
Note: Make sure to press the ‘Enable Collateral’ button so you can borrow.
Then go to WETH, Borrow, and select a small amount of WETH to borrow. Remember to repay it if you no longer need it.
By doing this, you’ve finished most of the ‘hard part of the quests.’ Remember that these can be done multiple times per week to maximize the points.
Step 6: Daily actions for $LSK airdrop
As we’ve said before, there are some quests that reward users for being active on the chain daily. As the fees are less than a cent, the cost of completing these is minimal. Don’t forget to visit the portal daily and claim the free points:
So, in order to earn maximum rewards, you need to make at least 2-3 transactions daily, pick a day to be more active, and make up to 500 transactions. It might be time-consuming, but it might be worth it for a bigger reward.
Test the ecosystem, explore all their partners, and find something suitable for you to do.
Step 7: Extra tasks of Lisk Airdrop
There are some tasks that we haven’t covered, such as the ones below:
These are a bit more difficult for the normal user, and we haven’t done a tutorial for it.
There’s also a bonus for people that hold or purchase the “Lisk of Life NFT” – but the NFT is a bit costly now (aprox. $100). However, this might have an impact on the airdrop as well.
There are also tasks requiring you to connect your social media accounts (Twitter and Discord) and to have a Gitcoin passport with a score of 20 or higher. These are not mandatory, but again – it will probably have an impact on the airdrop so they are worth doing.
The Math Behind the Airdrop – Calculating the Potential Reward of Lisk Airdrop
As the leaderboard is already live and some people have a lot of points, we can easily calculate how many points a user can get in the remaining days. Let’s assume there are 70 days left (10 weeks) to be easier to calculate.
From the transactions alone, a user can do:
- 300 points for the daily transactions – per month;
- 200 points for the weekly transactions – per month;
- 200 points for 30 days in a row – per month;
- Up to 500 points per week, so 2000 points per month;
- 10 points for visiting the airdrop portal daily, 300 per month.
So, it’s pretty easy to get 3000 points monthly from transactions and daily visit alone.
The External tasks can also bring a nice amount of points:
- Deploy liquidity on Oku – up to 71 points per day – up to 2130 points monthly;
- Swap on Oku Trade – 15 times per week, 15 points per swap – up to 900 points monthly;
- Supply on Ionic – up to71 points per day – up to 2130 points monthly;
- Borrow on Ionic, 15 times per week, 15 times per borrow – up to 900 points monthly.
So, a user can get up to 6000 points a month by doing these harder tasks.
Now, there are some extra tasks that you can do to get around 1000-2000 points for the remaining days. So, over the next 10 weeks – one could possibly earn around 24500 points for the LSK airdrop.
That would put you in the top 20 participants right now, but that number will probably grow in the future.
Another important thing is that you can get 10% of the points of any person you invite to Lisk airdrop, and that uses your airdrop code. So, in order to maximize your earnings – it’s best to invite all of your friends to it.
