Bybit Launches $10M Trading Competition Across Crypto, Stocks and AI

Bybit has opened registration for the 2026 World Series of Trading (WSOT), offering a prize pool of up to 10 million USDT as the cryptocurrency exchange expands its annual competition to include stocks, commodities, and artificial intelligence-powered trading.
The five-week event, which began accepting registrations on October 29 and runs through December 2, introduces new trading categories covering traditional financial assets alongside cryptocurrency markets. Participants can compete individually or in squads, with prizes distributed across several trading leaderboards.
This year’s competition marks a shift from WSOT’s previous crypto-focused format. A new Global Assets Showdown allows traders to compete based on trading volume across crypto and stock spot markets, where available, as well as perpetual contracts tied to stocks, gold, oil, and major indices.
Bybit is also introducing an AI P&L Showdown, where participants using Bybit AI or general AI subaccounts compete based on their trading profits and losses. An AI-powered assistant integrated into the competition platform will help users navigate tournament rules, complete tasks, and monitor rankings in real time.
The expansion reflects Bybit’s broader strategy of positioning itself as a multi-asset financial platform rather than solely a cryptocurrency exchange. The Dubai-based company, which reports more than 80 million users worldwide, has been expanding its offerings across trading, investing, payments, and wealth management.
WSOT 2026 follows a record-setting 2025 edition that attracted 520,451 participants and 1,474 squads globally. Last year’s event also earned a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title after 71,765 participants joined within a 24-hour period.
Registration is open without a minimum equity requirement, although traders must maintain at least 100 USDT in their Unified Trading Account for five minutes to qualify for the P&L and P&L percentage leaderboards. Participants can use one main account and up to six subaccounts, including AI trading accounts.
The competition also introduces a Preheat Quest spanning five categories, with trading tasks that unlock additional rewards. Prize pools increase as aggregate trading volume reaches specified thresholds, meaning the full 10 million USDT allocation is not guaranteed.
The main Squad, Individual, and AI Showdowns begin November 13, while the Global Assets Spot competition starts November 5 and the TradFi Perps competition begins November 19.
Participation is subject to eligibility restrictions, with residents of the European Economic Area and other restricted regions excluded. Pro users, market makers, and institutional participants are also ineligible.
