Short and Long Term Price Prediction for Bitcoin by a Fund Manager

Short and Long Term Price Prediction for Bitcoin by a Fund Manager

Tapiero’s analysis, shared in an interview on the Talking Tokens Podcast, highlights his belief in Bitcoin’s potential to continue its upward trajectory and potentially hit even higher targets over the next decade.

Short-Term Target: $180,000

Tapiero is predicting that Bitcoin could rise by approximately 112% from its current price, reaching $180,000 within the next year. Drawing from previous cycles, he explains that Bitcoin’s price has consistently tripled its previous peak. In 2017, Bitcoin’s peak was $21,000, and in 2021, it reached $60,000. Tapiero believes that this trend will continue, and BTC will hit three times the $60,000 level in the next year or so, with a target price of $180,000.

“I think we’ll head up to, I think $180,000, which is three times the previous peak… and I think we should within the next year or so,” Tapiero said during the podcast.

Long-Term Outlook: $1 Million in 10 Years

Looking further into the future, Tapiero is even more bullish on Bitcoin’s long-term prospects, predicting that the cryptocurrency could eventually reach a price of $1 million within the next 10 years. According to Tapiero, this would represent a total market capitalization of $20 trillion, highlighting Bitcoin’s potential to become a dominant global store of value.

“I think we can get to $1 million on Bitcoin in 10 years. And I think it will stop there for a while. $1 million, 10 years… so that’s $20 trillion of value [total market cap],” Tapiero explained.

Psychological Price Point: $100,000

Tapiero also discussed Bitcoin’s key psychological price point—$100,000—acknowledging that this level will likely trigger significant selling from long-term holders who have seen substantial gains. Many Bitcoin investors, particularly those who bought Bitcoin at much lower prices, are likely to view $100,000 as a moment to take profits.

“I think a $100,000 is a number where people who have been long for a long time, from a $1, a $100, from a $1,000… where they in their mind just said, ‘if it ever gets to $100,000 I’m going to sell some,’” Tapiero said.

Tapiero believes this selling pressure could lead to some market digestion, as these holders may cash out at key milestones, such as purchasing homes or realizing substantial gains after years of holding.

“There’s a natural selling ceiling that will take time to digest. Now, for how long? Weeks, months, I don’t know,” he added.

Conclusion: Bitcoin’s Potential for Growth

Dan Tapiero’s bullish projections for Bitcoin reflect the growing confidence in the cryptocurrency’s future as both a store of value and a hedge against economic uncertainty. His short-term target of $180,000, followed by a longer-term prediction of $1 million, aligns with his broader view that Bitcoin will continue to outperform traditional assets over the next decade.

As Bitcoin continues to gain mainstream acceptance, its price movements will likely continue to be influenced by a combination of macroeconomic trends, institutional adoption, and market psychology. Tapiero’s forecast presents a compelling case for Bitcoin’s potential to emerge as a dominant asset in the global financial system.
