Anthony Scaramucci Shares Bold Bitcoin Prediction and ETF Outlook

SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci offered fresh insights on his firm’s CRPT ETF, stablecoin regulation, and the future of altcoin-based investment vehicles during a recent discussion.

CRPT, launched four years ago, doesn’t invest in cryptocurrencies directly. Instead, it holds stocks of crypto-integrated companies. “At the time, Bitcoin ETFs didn’t exist,” Scaramucci said. “CRPT gave our clients exposure with high correlation to Bitcoin.” He added that many institutional consultants still hesitate to invest directly in BTC.

Bitcoin’s Institutional Path

Scaramucci believes Bitcoin is evolving beyond tech stocks, increasingly behaving like digital gold. He predicts that once BTC wallets grow from 300 million to 1 billion, volatility will decline, triggering a wave of institutional adoption.

He posed a key question: Is Bitcoin just an investment, or a standalone asset class like gold?

If it’s merely an investment, a $1–3 trillion market cap is reasonable.
If it’s an asset class, $20 trillion could be the long-term target.

Stablecoin Regulation: A National Imperative

Scaramucci emphasized the importance of the U.S. stablecoin bill under discussion in Congress. He noted that Tether now holds more U.S. Treasury bonds than Japan or Germany, making regulation critical to financial leadership and market stability.

He acknowledged the political controversy around Trump-linked crypto initiatives, suggesting constitutional limits on restrictions, but called for transparency to maintain public trust.

Altcoin ETFs: Solana Leads

On altcoins, Scaramucci highlighted Solana as the most promising for ETF exposure.
SkyBridge has invested in SolQ, a Solana-focused ETF, citing staking rewards as particularly appealing. While Avalanche and Polkadot also have potential, Scaramucci said Solana currently stands out due to its performance and ecosystem growth.

Scaramucci’s outlook reflects a broader theme: crypto is maturing into mainstream finance, and the U.S. must lead in regulatory clarity, institutional adoption, and product innovation.
