The WAR FIELD company revealed on June 21 the launch of its ‘first-person shooter’ game which will enable players to receive cryptocurrency rewards. Players can use WAR FIELD’s Golder (GLDR) token to make bets on their character’s “life.”
WAR FIELD says the idea of monetizing some features of its gameplay will attract gamers who are looking for some extra money.
“What could be better than getting paid to play video games? It’s been a gamer’s dream,” says Andrius Mironovskis, founder and CEO of WAR FIELD. “WAR FIELD is not about having the best graphics or giving players something entirely new. It’s an exciting, fast-paced online game from the world’s most popular genre that gives everyone a chance to win something real they can later withdraw and sell.”
“The new online ‘first-person shooter’ game is going to shape an entire blockchain-driven game economy that lets players win, withdraw and trade Golder — just like they would Bitcoin or Ethereum”— read the company’s press release.
According to Andrius Mironovskis, the WAR FIELD team began working on a shooter because these games have the largest market share in a 100-billion-dollar gaming industry. The company has plans of adding more games to the Golder platform.
WAR FIELD’s shooter rules involve players competing in deathmatch-style games, and, eventually, the winners will be rewarded with Golder from the losers. It is not required that the player have need a lot of experience like in big tournaments to be able to enjoy WAR FIELD and win cryptocurrency — he just needs to be a bit better than his or her adversaries.
The company plans to launch until November a marketplace as well as new battlegrounds which will be called Amusement Park, Area 51 and Pleasure Island. By May 15 of next year WAR FIELD also intends on releasing a version for mobile devices, and also versions for PlayStation and Xbox.
Golder tokens will be made available during the company’s crowdsale campaign, which began on June 28 and it will end on November 15, 2018. During its ICO, WAR FIELD will be giving out considerable discounts on their Golder tokens.
WAR FIELD is baked up by a board of advisors that lists industry veterans including Adalberto Bruno (Electronic Arts), Benjamin Turshana (Electronic Arts, IGN, GameSpy), Dylan Sharkey (LinkedIn), Scott Shirley (professional gamer: HALO and Call of Duty), and Tom Frisina (Bally Technologies, Electronic Arts, Imagination Park Entertainment, thatgamecompany).
