Wall Street Still Underrates Bitcoin’s True Potential, Says Michael Saylor

As Bitcoin set a fresh all-time high today, MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor used the moment to double down on his bullish outlook, warning that traditional finance is still missing the bigger picture.

Speaking with Fox Business, Saylor said Wall Street continues to underestimate both Bitcoin’s value and the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem.

According to Saylor, Bitcoin has historically delivered average annualized returns of over 50%, far outpacing traditional investments. “Bitcoin is an asset to hold for the long term,” he said, adding that its track record shows consistent outperformance compared with conventional markets.

Why Saylor Backs the “Bitcoin Standard”

Saylor believes that companies integrating Bitcoin into their corporate treasury strategies could see outsized gains. By allocating a portion of cash reserves to BTC, he claims businesses could outperform the S&P 500 by as much as 40% annually — a stark contrast to the declining returns of traditional holdings like Treasury bonds, which he says may drop by around 10% each year.

The MicroStrategy founder predicts that more institutions will embrace what he calls the “Bitcoin standard,” shifting away from legacy assets toward decentralized digital capital. He expects this to become an increasingly common approach in corporate capital management.

Bitcoin’s Institutional Future

While he sees widespread adoption as inevitable, Saylor warns it may take years for Wall Street to fully appreciate Bitcoin’s potential. “Even if they are late,” he said, “Bitcoin is unstoppable.”

Saylor’s comments come as Bitcoin’s rally continues to break records, further fueling the debate over its role in long-term portfolio strategy.
