Trump Slams Fed Chair Powell: “Too Late and Wrong”

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, criticizing him for failing to cut interest rates.

In a post on his TruthSocial platform Thursday, Trump labeled Powell as “always TOO LATE AND WRONG,” voicing frustration over the Fed’s monetary policy decisions.

“Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough” Trump wrote. He argued that Powell should have followed the lead of the European Central Bank and lowered rates much earlier — and insists that a cut is overdue even now.

The comments mark yet another chapter in Trump’s long-running feud with Powell, reflecting deep divisions over the direction of U.S. economic policy as the 2024 election looms.
