The popular hardware wallet, Trezor, has integrated a feature which allows its users to swap cryptos without leaving the wallet interface. The feature makes it possible to exchange about eleven Crypto coins without exiting the wallet interface. This feature is available in the Beta version release of the hardware wallet interface.
Users of the main interface will have to wait until the Beta phase of the role out is over, before they get to enjoy this feature.
The implementation of this feature is expected to further provide a more secured environment for the exchanging of cryptos.
How the Cryptos Exchanging Features Work
For users of the Beta version of the wallet interface, the feature is already pre-installed and available on the interface. The new interface, however, requires the users to check a disclaimer box before they can start using the interface.
Each crypto swapping on the platform occurs between the wallet and a single third party exchange platform. What this means is that Cryptos cannot be exchanged using different cryptocurrency exchange services simultaneously.
The user of the wallet interface will select an exchange, and based on the cryptocurrency type they have available in their wallets, they will be able to make a trade for another one they need on this same exchange.
List of Available Exchanges:
Here is a list of Cryptocurrencies available for swapping on the interface: XMR, DASH, BCH, ZEC, XRP, LTC, BTG, ETH, ETC, BTC, and DOGE.
Is Trezor Now a Cryptocurrency Exchange?
Trezor, through its marketing director, has made it known that this feature does not qualify them as a cryptocurrency exchange, so restrictions and regulations imposed on most Crypto exchanges will not be affecting their users.
If Trezor eventually decides to add this feature to its original interface, the feature alone is expected to help them compete adequately in the hardware wallet industry.
