Top 10 Countries in Tech Innovation

According to data compiled by Benzinga from the International Innovation Index (via Wikipedia), the United States ranks as the top country in tech innovation, scoring 2.33 overall with strong performance across both innovation inputs and outcomes.

South Korea closely follows in second place with an overall score of 2.26, excelling particularly in innovation inputs (2.74), which include education, R&D spending, and infrastructure. Despite this, its performance score lags slightly at 1.92.

Japan and China take third and fourth place, respectively, with Japan scoring slightly higher in innovation performance (1.99) compared to China (1.81). France rounds out the top five with a balanced but moderate score of 1.64 overall.

Other countries in the top 10 include Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, and Australia. These nations show solid innovation ecosystems but trail the top-tier leaders in either inputs, outcomes, or both.

The rankings reflect a combination of how much countries invest in innovation and how effectively they translate that investment into real-world technological advancements.
