Strategy Buys 15,355 More BTC for $1.42 Billion

Strategy continues to solidify its position as the largest corporate Bitcoin holder.

On April 28, 2025, the company filed a new Form 8-K with the SEC, and shortly after, Executive Chairman Michael Saylor revealed on X that MicroStrategy has made another massive Bitcoin purchase.

According to Saylor, Strategy acquired an additional 15,355 BTC for approximately $1.42 billion, at an average price of $92,737 per Bitcoin.

This latest accumulation pushes the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to an astonishing 553,555 BTC, acquired for a total cost basis of about $37.90 billion at an average price of $68,459 per coin.

Record-Breaking Bitcoin Treasury

Strategy’s aggressive Bitcoin strategy has paid off handsomely so far.
Year-to-date in 2025, the company has achieved a BTC yield of 13.7%, reflecting strong price appreciation and effective treasury management.

The firm’s growing Bitcoin reserves continue to dwarf those of any other publicly traded company, turning MicroStrategy into a hybrid entity — part business intelligence firm, part Bitcoin ETF alternative.
