Sikur Launched the First Hack-Proof Phone with Built-in Crypto Wallet
The cybersecurity company Sikur has released an innovative device that secures cryptocurrency as no wallet does it- yet. Numerous hacker attacks took place these months. A lot of influential crypto exchanges lost millions, as well as users.
The Brazilian startup Sikur has designed an advanced device that is keeping Bitcoins and altcoins safe. They called it: SIKURPhone. The device’s premier took place during the Mobile World Congress held between 26th February and 1st March 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.
The phone isn’t simple as maybe it sounds. The developers have introduced a built-in crypto wallet that provides high security, according to the manufacturer.
According to Engadget, the SIKUR’s team have conducted a series of tests based on hackers’ attack methods. Their purpose was to demonstrate the security of the device against possible hacker malwares. The result was a positive one. Thus, it has been proven that SIKURPhone offers an adequate protection for Bitcoins and altcoins.
“The phone itself has a 5.5-inch “full HD” Gorilla Glass display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera and sports a 2800 mAh battery”, according to Engadget.
The phone is considered to be “the first fully encrypted, hack-proof smartphone that can safely store cryptocurrencies”. It supports fingerprint authentications, that allow users to restore personal information in the event of a theft, loss of the device, or if they have forgot the password.
20.000 SIKURPhones are available in pre-sale period
According to Sikur company, only 20.000 SIKURPhones are available in the pre-sale period, which began on 27th February 2018 at the promotional price of only $ 799. The company has planned to begin deliveries in August 2018.
“At the end of second quarter of 2018 we will deliver a crypto wallet inside our platform, expanding the wallet use beyond SIKURPhone, it means that our customers should be able, through a physical device, to securely store their cryptocoins”, said the Sikur’s CEO for CNBC.
“Granite Phone” was the first successful Sikur’s project
Sikur is not at its first involving in creating secure mobile devices. The company has already launched in 2015 the Granite Phone. This one has attracted a lot of non-corporate customers, besides the governmental institutions, becoming a successful project.
“Securely storing information on our devices is one of our strong points. We succeeded with browser and messaging security. Then we asked, why not do it with cryptocurrency?”, said the Sikur’s CEO.
The Sikur company has created a favorable image at the international level, but also a loyal clientele. With the help of SIKURPhone, the company will definitely attract a new market segment, namely users who use Bitcoins and altcoins. They can be confident about the purchased product, taking into account all the reviews and feedbacks from customers who bought the company’s first product.
