Semler Scientific Adds $20M in Bitcoin, Now Holds Over $467M in BTC

Semler Scientific (Nasdaq: SMLR) has expanded its Bitcoin treasury, acquiring an additional 185 BTC for approximately $20 million between May 23 and June 3, according to a newly filed 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The average purchase price came in at $107,974 per BTC, funded through capital raised from the issuance and sale of SMLR common stock, the company disclosed.

Bitcoin Holdings Now Exceed $467 Million

With this latest acquisition, Semler now holds a total of 4,449 BTC, currently valued at around $467 million. The firm’s average purchase price across all its Bitcoin holdings stands at $92,158, translating to a total cost basis of $410 million, including fees and related expenses.

That gives Semler a paper gain of approximately $57 million—a notable increase amid Bitcoin’s ongoing price strength.

Ranked 15th Among Public Companies in BTC Holdings

According to The Block’s corporate Bitcoin tracker, Semler now ranks 15th among publicly traded companies by BTC holdings, positioning itself among a growing group of firms adding digital assets to their balance sheets.

This move signals continued confidence in Bitcoin as a strategic treasury reserve, particularly from non-crypto-native companies looking to diversify capital allocation in an inflation-sensitive market environment.
