Randi Zuckerberg Officially Part of the Huobi Chain Advisory Committee
Huobi continues its expansion by unveiling a list with its advisory committee that, among other big names, includes Randi Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Zuckberg Media, and Former Senior Executive at Facebook.
Facebook CEO’s sister is to join seven other experts on the said committee, which is responsible for providing relevant advice and ideas on the future development of the digital asset trading platform.
The Huobi Chain Expert Advisory Committee is also responsible for providing advice as well as support during the Huobi Chain Superhero Championship Program’s election phase.
The championship program was launched recently as a way of boosting community participation in the development of Huobi’s public blockchain. In addition, the committee will also counsel the company in regards to various other governance and development matters.
Various other big names on the committee list
Randi Zuckerberg is not the only big name on Huobi’s committee, as other experts on the committee include investor and Bitcoin evangelist, Jeffrey Wernick, and CEO of Bitcoin mining company Bitmain, Jihan Wu.
It might come as a surprise for some, but Randi Zuckerberg is no longer employed at Facebook, even though she was an early employee serving as a spokesperson and marketing director. This means that even though Facebook is interested in blockchain and crypto tech, there’s no conflict of interest in the current situation.
Facebook looks towards blockchain to potentially solve some of its issues
Earlier in May this year, the social media giant launched its blockchain division in order to accurately study decentralized ledger technologies towards fixing some of the platform’s possible problems this year.
This has led to various speculation that the social media giant was considering forking the Stellar blockchain. Facebook later dismissed the speculations by stating that it is not interested in building on the Stellar blockchain or any type of partnership with the company.
