The team at Pundi X recently showcased their blockchain-powered phone at the ongoing xBlockchain Summit at the Inaya Putri Bali, which kicked off yesterday. It is the world’s first blockchain-enabled Android smartphone. Named XPhone, the phone is not tied to any particular carrier network.

Function X is a completely decentralized solution that comprises five main components:
- Operating System (OS)
- Function X blockchain
- Function X IPFX
- FXTP protocol
The phone will be launched with Android 9.0 pie. This makes it possible to install and manage android apps on the device. With this blockchain-based smartphone, the team at Pundi X hopes users and developers will be able to switch seamlessly between android and Function X platform.
