However, the spotlight isn’t solely on Nvidia. Other AI-driven companies like Palantir and Dell have actually outperformed the so-called “Magnificent Seven” tech stocks in recent weeks. Industry experts like Christine Short have also pointed to emerging competition from China, raising questions about how long US firms can maintain their edge in the AI space.
Yet for Nvidia, the fundamentals remain rock solid. The company’s recent earnings beat expectations, and demand for its chips—especially those powering artificial intelligence infrastructure—continues to grow rapidly. Analysts at Loop Capital are particularly bullish, with one even setting a $250 price target on the stock. If realized, that would push Nvidia’s market cap to a staggering $6 trillion.
Loop Capital also predicts that the AI chip market could balloon to $2 trillion by 2028, offering Nvidia and its peers a massive opportunity for expansion. For now, investors appear willing to ride the wave, betting that Nvidia’s technology and strategic positioning will keep it at the forefront of the AI revolution—even in the face of intensifying global competition.
