MetaMask Adds Native Solana Support to Extension Wallet

MetaMask Adds Native Solana Support to Extension Wallet

MetaMask has officially expanded its capabilities by integrating native support for the Solana blockchain into its browser extension.

This upgrade allows users to manage Solana-based tokens and dapps directly within the MetaMask interface, alongside their existing Ethereum accounts.

The move simplifies what had long been a fragmented experience for users juggling separate wallets for Solana and Ethereum. Now, users can send, receive, swap, bridge, and purchase Solana assets without leaving the MetaMask environment.

By introducing Solana compatibility, MetaMask takes a major step toward unifying the crypto experience across ecosystems. The updated extension enables users to interact with Solana dapps and tokens in the same streamlined interface they already use for Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains.

This update marks the beginning of a broader shift. MetaMask has confirmed plans to add additional non-EVM networks in the coming months. The goal is clear: reduce wallet fragmentation by offering a single, secure platform that supports multiple blockchain networks under one interface.
