Major Firms Commit Trillions to U.S. Growth in Trump’s First 100 Days

Marking his first 100 days back in office, President Donald Trump held a high-profile White House event spotlighting over $8 trillion in corporate investment commitments aimed at revitalizing the U.S. economy.

Surrounded by top CEOs across sectors, Trump positioned the pledges as a sign of renewed confidence in American industry.

Executives from automotive, energy, defense, tech, and healthcare firms announced plans to pour billions into U.S. operations, manufacturing, and infrastructure. Hyundai’s $21 billion package includes a steel plant in Louisiana, while Toyota will expand hybrid production in West Virginia. CMA CGM is investing $20 billion in shipping logistics, including a new air cargo hub in Chicago.

In tech and defense, IBM revealed a $150 billion push into AI and chip development, Amazon committed $4 billion to logistics and cloud expansion, and Anduril is building an autonomous drone facility in Ohio. GE Aerospace is upgrading 16 plants with a $1 billion injection, and Apple is reportedly working to repatriate its supply chain.

Energy and materials firms also made substantial pledges. Venture Global will invest $18 billion in LNG infrastructure, while Siemens committed $285 million to boost U.S. manufacturing jobs. Pratt Industries, Chobani, and Bel Brands detailed projects in sustainable packaging and food production, including new dairy and cheese facilities.

The healthcare sector saw some of the largest figures. Johnson & Johnson plans to invest $55 billion across new manufacturing and technology hubs, Eli Lilly committed $27 billion to scaling domestic drug output, AbbVie will build four new plants at a cost of $10 billion, and Thermo Fisher is allocating $2 billion toward diagnostics and medical supply expansion.

Calling it the beginning of a national rebuild, Trump said, “We’re bringing jobs, factories, and innovation back to American soil.”
