Asked by CNBC’s crypto expert Brian Kelly about the information Charlie Lee wants to share with the event’s attendees, Litecoin founder elaborated:
“I would like for people to focus on the technology, adoption, merchant adoption and also how to scale. So things like the Lightning network, sidechains, and things that would help Bitcoin and Litecoin scale… And I think with the price currently depressed, it’s a good time for people to sit down and have their head down and actually working to get stuff done.”
Gemini to list Litecoin (LTC)
Now that the summit is over, let’s have a look on things disclosed during the event. One of them indicated that famous US-based Winklevoss’ crypto project will soon add Litecoin (LTC) to its portfolio of crypto assets, more precisely on 13th October 2018.

The announcement was made on the stage by Eric Winer, Gemini’s VP of Engineering. His words were: “We are working on adding Litecoin… we are pleased to announce Gemini will be launching Litecoin support starting October 13th, 2018!”
Surprisingly, the day Gemini lists LTC corresponds with Litecoin’s 7th birthday, as stated in Litecoin Foundation’s tweet. This detail led to a wave of questions.

Regardless of the fact that no information was revealed before the summit, the crypto community assumed such a move sooner or later by Gemini, due to its approval from the New York Department Of Financial Services in May that gave the platform the green light to add ‘Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and most notably, ZCash (ZEC).’
Following the announcement, Litecoin’s coin value reached the maximum of $ 58.20 on 15th September. Currently, LTC is traded at $56.10 and has a market cap of $3,272,211,993.
