Facebook is in full change of its operational management. The decision comes close to the assumptions made by WhatsApp, Messenger, and Facebook App.
The platform has announced the introduction of a “blockchain division” in order to personally test the new tools and then integrate them into the company’s portfolio.
The news received opinions as soon as it was made public a few hours ago. A crypto follower posted on Twitter this: “Facebook is launching an internal team to exclusively focus on blockchain tech. The team is led by David Marcus, former PayPal President & current Coinbase board member. The virus is spreading!!”
If we go back to January 2018, the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, seemed to be interested in the crypto industry, noticing that he will study about it and take subsequent decisions.
The blockchain division plans to integrate Distributed Ledger Technology into Messenger App
The blockchain division aims to find out how to improve the services offered by Facebook by using DL technology.
The former CEO of PayPal, Davin Marcus, wrote on Facebook this:
“After nearly four unbelievably rewarding years leading Messenger, I have decided it was time for me to take on a new challenge. I’m setting up a small group to explore how to best leverage Blockchain across Facebook, starting from scratch.”
David Marcus has an impressive experience, being at the moment a member of the Coinbase team and former CEO at PayPal. Considering these, we can safely say that Marcus knows what and how to do to develop a successful project. Unfortunately, no details are known about the tool to be tested and for what it will be used.
David Marcus, the leader of the blockchain division, didn’t miss the chance to respond users’ comments:
“Looking forward, I’m excited about Messenger’s upcoming redesign I’ve shared an early look at this year’s F8. I think you’re going to love it! It’s been an honor to lead the amazing Messenger team, their commitment to making Messenger the best it can be is unsurpassed. I will miss them but I know Messenger is in great hands with Stan Chudnovsky and they will continue to create amazing experiences for all the people who depend on it around the world.”
Marcus claims that Messenger has a superior position among the application rankings, that’s why investing in improving the platform’s system will create a suitable environment for its growth.
