The former promoter of Bitconnect– Trevon James stated that he was contacted by the FBI in order to be questioned about his involvement in the platform’s crypto project.

Trevon has shared his experience regarded to Bitconnect platform with his fans through a video posted on YouTube, 5 March 2018. This is entitled “GLAD I DON’T KNOW WHO’S BEHIND BITCONNECT” and has gathered until today over 23.000 views.

He chose to make a video to announce his followers about the fact that he will be interviewed about his involvement in Bitconnect’s activities during 10 days. Of course, he did not specify the type of hearing in details. Through the video, he has brought arguments that reveal his limited involvement in Bitconnect‘s plans and operations.

James supposes that the testimonial will take about 90 minutes, so it will be based on the same principle as the interview that he had with a FBI agent.

“I’m glad that I don’t know anything so that means there’s no proof that I knew anything’. He added that “It’s really about the SEC. Testimony is really important you know, for the entire crypto space because … it’s about securities. Is Bitconnect a security, are cryptocurrencies, can they be considered securities? That’s what it’s about, it’s not about whether I scammed people.” .

“It’s about whether Bitconnect is a security and whether I knew”, James explained.

James drew the attention of the authorities after Jay Clayton has described the token sales as “secured sale”. James did not hesitate to bring arguments against this affirmation. Comparing ICOs and cryptocurrency, Clayton said that “ICOs that are securities offerings, we should regulate them like we regulate securities offerings. End of story.”.

Unfortunately, there are no answers from FBI. To stay updated with Trevon James’ testimonials, follow his YouTube channel.
