The First Cryptocurrency Airport

Brisbane will soon have the world’s first cryptocurrency airport terminal, according to local media reports.
Brisbane Airport is working with local and international companies to make the whole terminal cryptocurrency friendly, having stores, coffee shops and restaurants accepting Bitcoin, Ether and Dash.
As the number of crypto investors has increased, it is only normal that the airport is making the move to cryptocurrencies.
“Many people around the world have made money investing in cryptocurrencies and a lot of these people travel internationally, so it makes sense to offer a digital currency experience within our terminals,” says Roel Hellemons, the General Manager of Strategic Planning and Development.
Brisbane Airport will partner with TravelbyBit, a cryptocurrency payment platform, to make it possible for travelers to make buys using cryptocurrencies.
This move signals Australia’s acceptance and adoption of cryptocurrencies and digital payment systems, in spite of the negative stand of other countries. With China’s ban and South Korea’s threats, this change comes as pleasant news for crypto investors.
