Elon Musk Confirms 2025 India Visit After Call With PM Modi

Elon Musk has confirmed that he plans to visit India later this year, following a call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 18.
The announcement was made via a post on X, where the Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote: “It was an honor to speak with PM Modi. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year!”
The call served as a follow-up to the pair’s in-person meeting in Washington, D.C., earlier this year, where they discussed expanding technological and industrial partnerships.
India Eyes Deeper Tech and Innovation Ties
In his own statement, Prime Minister Modi said the conversation revisited “various issues,” including the “immense potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation.”

“India remains committed to advancing our partnerships with the U.S. in these domains,” Modi added, signaling ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in sectors such as clean energy, AI, and advanced manufacturing.
Musk’s Growing Interest in India
Musk’s upcoming visit could have implications for Tesla’s entry into the Indian market, a topic of growing speculation in recent months. India’s push for EV adoption, along with its strong tech talent base, makes it a strategic destination for Musk’s business interests.
While no specific dates or agenda details have been shared yet, the visit is expected to deepen economic and innovation ties between the world’s most populous democracy and one of the tech world’s most influential entrepreneurs.
