Crypto Strategist Unveils Three-Year Price Outlook for Solana, Updates Forecast on US Dollar Index
A well-known crypto strategist who previously called Solana’s (SOL) market downturn believes the blockchain will face a prolonged bear market over the next two years.
The analyst, known as Bluntz, recently shared his perspective with his large following on X, where he suggested that SOL’s price action will remain largely bearish until at least mid-to-late 2026. While he does expect temporary rebounds along the way, he warns that these short-lived surges may ultimately lead to further declines rather than signaling a true recovery.
Bluntz points out that SOL has already dropped 57% from its recent highs. Drawing from historical market cycles, he speculates that since the last bull phase lasted about 762 days, the subsequent bear market could endure for roughly 70% of that time. In his view, the most optimistic timeline for a recovery would be sometime in mid-2026, while a more pessimistic outlook could extend the downtrend into late 2026.
His technical analysis is based on Elliott Wave theory, which suggests that assets move in distinct phases, often following a five-wave rally before undergoing a three-wave correction (A-B-C). According to his chart, SOL is currently in the early stages of an A-wave decline, which could push prices below $100. He anticipates a counter-trend rally (B-wave) that might drive SOL back toward $200 in early 2026, only for the market to experience another correction (C-wave), bringing the asset down to around $80 in 2027. If this pattern holds, he expects Solana to begin a fresh five-wave bull run in 2028, potentially surpassing $300.
At the time of writing, SOL is trading at $118.10, marking a nearly 7% daily drop.
