The English sports club Wolverhampton Wanderers have teamed up with the cryptocurrency exchange CoinDeal to promote their image.

Known as the Wolves, the Wolverhampton Wanderers return in the game after six years of absence. The soccer club has signed a contract with the cryptocurrency exchange CoinDeal, through which athletes are committed to wearing the logo of the crypto platform on their shirt sleeve during the entire league 2018-2019.

As a result of the partnership, the CoinDeal will be mentioned as a sponsor on team training kits and LED ads.

Here’s what Wolverhampton’s managing director Laurie Dalrymple declared for SportsPro:

Once more a partner has agreed to tweaking the colour of their logo to complement our kit, which is a huge gesture of goodwill towards the club and its fans, and something we are very grateful for. CoinDeal is a bold and progressive company, who we believe to be an ideal match to become one of our principal partners, and we look forward to working with them throughout our first season back in the Premier League.”

CoinDeal co-founder Kajetan Maćkowiak also expressed his fascination about the new partnership, saying that:

At CoinDeal we are very aware of the impact that football marketing can have on [a] brand and its community, especially in [an] industry such as ours. We believe that a club like Wolves will help portray our message globally. It is an incredibly exciting time to be involved with Wolves, on the eve of their return to the English Premier League and we look forward to supporting them to ensure they continue their incredible performance levels both on and off the pitch.”

The English Premier League will take place between 10 August 2018 – 12 May 2019, UK, being one of the most famous sports leagues. The sports club partnership with a cryptocurrency exchange will certainly not only promote the crypto platform but also the virtual coins themselves.

Another sponsor of the football team for the upcoming Premier League season is W88- an online sportsbook.

As previously reported by Coindoo, cryptocurrencies have been adopted in the sports sector as well. The Sacramento Kings announced that they will mine Ethereum for charity, setting up the largest mining center in a stadium.
