Bithumb Plans to Install Bitcoin ATMs and Kiosks in South Korea
Great news! The giant cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb is planning to install Bitcoin ATMs and Kiosks in South Korea, according to the local ZDNet Korea.
The largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea has already signed the partnership acts with three influential kiosk manufacturers. These are Uno Space, TROS Systems and IYU, which manage to supply different kiosks of the small enterprises, like food, beverage, restaurants and cafes franchises.
Touch B- is the new Bithumb’s project
According to ZDNet Korea, Bithumb is developing its own brand, called Touch B, dedicated for Bitcoin ATMs. Even if the company isn’t able to produce their own kiosk equipment, it will supply them with its own software apps.
“The entry into the kiosk business is meaningful to provide substantial benefits and low-cost rental services to small business owners. We will continue to work in various industries based on the blockchain technology. We will continue to provide opportunities to provide total solutions for small businesses through our partnership.”, Bithumb told ZDNet Korea.
Bithumb’s future plans
Three new services will be launched by Bithumb crypto exchange. Two of them are named Touchpad and Touchbone. Depending on the businesses preferences, these services will allow the suitable flexibility to manage the basic activities of the companies.
Moreover, Bithumb is working to develop a “password settlement service”, called Bithumb Cache. With the help of this service, customers will be able to convert the digital assets kept at Bithumb by simply entering the password at a kiosk.
About Bithumb’s partnership with Good Choice- a famous accommodation website in South Korea
According to Finance Magnates, “Bithumb inked a deal with one of the largest accommodation websites in South Korea, Good Choice, which lists over 50,000 hotels. As per the partnership, all the hotels associated with the website will now accept 12 different cryptocurrencies.”
Being asked about this partnership, a Bithumb spokesperson stated that “Our partnership with the nation’s largest accommodation app has allowed Korea to join the global trend to see a greater use of cryptocurrency and we are continuously discussing with various companies for a greater use of a simple and safe payment tool, cryptocurrency in Korea.”.
South Korea is one of the most controversial country that relates to the crypto industry. According to statistics, over 1 million national citizens actively trade cryptocurrency. Even if the country has banned the anonymous accounts, the digital assets continue to attract investors.
