‘Bitcoin Jesus’ to Launch His Own Crypto Exchange
Roger Ver, popularly known as Bitcoin Jesus, was an early adopter of bitcoin and the most vocal proponent of the ‘original’ bitcoin. He has recently announced that he is planning to launch his own cryptocurrency exchange. Jesus said the exchange will be integrated into his existing bitcoin.com platform.
“The exchange will be posted on Bitcoin.com so we’ll have thousands or tens of thousands of new users every single day,” he said. This should make it possible to build up a large customer base within a very short time.
The controversial multimillionaire investor who voluntarily renounced his U.S. citizenship in 2015 told Bloomberg in an interview that he is considering a partnership to help create the exchange. He also said he is considering the option of creating the platform without assistance from outside. Ver said:
“If we build it ourselves, we can do it really, really cheap, and we get exactly what we want. But we don’t have the security of a battle-tested exchange that’s been around for a while.”
Ver did not disclose which digital currencies will be available on the exchange. Nevertheless, he stated that Bitcoin Cash (BCH) will serve as the base currency. This is not the first time Jesus is seen supporting BCH. Ver has been continuously promoting Bitcoin Cash (BCH) as the true cryptocurrency envisioned by Satoshi Nakamoto – the unknown creator of bitcoin.
According to data from similarweb.com, the site has 3.6 million visitors each month, so the launch can be done quickly and smoothly without the need for further external marketing efforts.
Roger Ver is regarded as one of the most popular and controversial figures in the crypto community. He gave up his United States citizenship in 2015. His current residence is in Tokyo Japan. Last year, he announced that he was planning to create a new country governed by libertarian values.
